When Ross & Laura from Village Holidays contacted me to photograph a former Methodist Church their family run company had converted into 2 near identical self catering holiday homes I jumped at the chance.
Being an interior photographer is a challenge, lighting is generally a mixture between natural and artificial, you never really know what you are going to walk in on and expectations are high for some great images to helps see your vision or property. Then you read on the Village Holidays website that Ross is a perfectionist!
In all honesty, everybody I have done interior photography for is a perfectionist, and so they should be. The amount of work, money and emotional energy that goes into project managing these spaces is immense. My role is to capture these spaces so they look the best they can (without faking it!) to help attract customers or buyers and it a role that I take very seriously.
Walking into The Old Chapel I was blown away by the space, beautiful huge windows, stunning decor and a great use of space. The mezzanine main bedroom with floor to ceiling windows looking over the living space is stunning and and really shows off the space that Ross and Laura have worked so hard on.
If you are looking for a getaway in Nottinghamshire then this would certainly be on my short list, now I can't wait to see Village Holidays other properties that they have kindly asked me to also photograph in the upcoming months.
Here is what they had to say:
A huge thanks to Dan for taking lots of fantastic images of our recently converted former Methodist Chapel. The images are to be used on our website to promote the property as part of our holiday rental company. We are so pleased with the images captured and are above and beyond what we expected them to be. Dan was extremely personable and professional and his attention to details was just what we needed. We will most definitely recommend Dan and use him in the future. Thanks again
